In order to meet the clients and builders demand, we were faced with some challenges. The client was looking for an all-aluminum window system that could deliver top of the line energy efficiency without compromising the slim line appearance.

We used Glasbox top of the line systems. The CW2.0 series was used for the curtain wall with the WS10 CV the tilt and turn opening windows. Not only that his combination meets the 2012 B.C building code, but it far exceed them. The client used a double pane glass with lowE glass on the inside and a reflective glass on the exterior for an overall U-Value of 0.28 (NFRC Test size).

For the six lift and slide doors we used the Glasbox LS10 to make sure they could meet and exceed the requirements for such large openings on this project. The client didn’t want a simple sliding door, but was looking for a lift and slide system to ensure easy operation and maintenance free doors. For the exterior doors we used the DS10 in combination with the safematic lock from Schuco® which locks in five places and is in combination with a high security keying system. We also supplied all the additional metal extensions as well as numerous metal panels inside and outside the house.
