Given the cold winters in Calgary, energy efficiency was a priority to the architect, home owner and builder as well. Not only was energy efficiency important but also quality and window functionality. The project had a combination of large curtain wall assemblies, window systems, skylights and lift and slide doors. We used our Glasbox CW2.0 curtain wall series, the WS10 window system and the LS10 lift and slide door. A dark anodized finish was chosen for the aluminum color. The client chose a reflective glass for privacy. Due to the energy efficiency of the windows and doors, only double pane glass was used. All tilt & turn windows were outfitted with a matching window screen using the Transpatec ® invisible screen mash.
